How does neural therapy work?
The human body is surrounded by an electrical network about 500,000 km long. Excitable tissues in the body can respond to any stimulus, changing the electrical properties of their cell membranes and transmitting this information by generating action potentials. Nerve and muscle tissues are among the tissues that can respond to these stimuli.
Neural therapy stimulates and regulates the vegetative (autonomic) nervous system, which contains an extensive electrical network in our body. When this therapy is applied, three basic circulatory systems in the body (blood circulation, lymph circulation and neural communication) are regulated through local anesthetic injections at specific points. Increased blood circulation provides nourishment to the tissues, while increased lymph circulation cleanses the tissues of metabolites. Tissues with regulated nerve transmission work more efficiently. Thus, the self-healing capacity of tissues that are nourished, cleaned and receive regular signals increases.
What is Neural Therapy?
Neural therapy is a method used in the treatment of acute and chronic diseases and is usually performed with local anesthetics (procaine or lidocaine). This treatment is used to stimulate a natural response using the body's own vegetative/autonomic nervous system. Local anesthetics, when injected into specific areas of the body, initiate a natural healing process.
In neural therapy, local anesthetics (usually procaine) are applied to correctly defined points on the body to create a positive circulation. This starts the body's self-healing process and reduces the symptoms of the disease. Neural therapy is therefore considered one of the most effective natural therapies.
The basic principle of neural therapy is the regulation of the existing structure. Anatomical deficiencies or genetic disorders are outside the scope of this treatment.
What is Segment Therapy?
Segment therapy suggests that specific skin areas are connected to specific internal organs via nerve-reflex pathways. Stimuli applied to the target skin area provide a positive regulation of the damaged organ and cause the organ to start healing itself. Segment therapy is performed by injection and infiltration of local anesthetics directly into the skin surface. This may cause short-term skin reactions.
Intravenous and intra-arterial injections into muscles, nerves and ganglia may also be performed during segmental therapy procedures. Procaine has an anti-inflammatory effect while improving circulation. If this form of treatment does not help, we move on to treatment of the interference fields.
Interference Field Treatment
This treatment is a step in the neural therapy process and is also a necessary step for the effective realization of the treatment goals. In neural therapy, different treatment methods are available according to the types of pain. Pain can be exacerbated by damage to damaged areas. These chronic pains spread throughout the whole organism through the autonomic nervous system and can hinder the healing process. The interference fields are caused by various inflammations and produce impulses that can cause pain or chronic discomfort in segments or other organs. Commonly recognized interference fields include damaged teeth, long-term open wounds, etc. The treatment process ends with an injection of local anesthetics. Another successful method of neural therapy is interference field treatment, where local anesthetics are used to heal the interference field and remove blockages in the body.
When and in which cases do these treatment modalities help? In modern regulatory medicine, neural therapy affects the entire circulation in the organism; it has effects on the nervous, hormonal, muscular, circulatory and lymphatic systems. It also has effects on the bone, digestive and excretory systems. Therefore, there is a wide range of neural therapy treatment options. Thanks to its ability to help circulation and remove blockages in the organism, it is an effective method not only for acute conditions, but also for the treatment of chronic conditions. Neural therapy helps to relieve different types of pain, allergies and disorders of the internal organs.
