Neural Therapy Treatment

The basic principle of this method is the arrangements made to achieve bodily balance.

The human body is an organism with a complex electrical structure. Our entire body is interconnected by a network that reaches up to 500,000 kilometers in length. Excitable tissues show the ability to generate and conduct action potentials by changing the electrical properties of their cell membranes in response to any stimulus. Such tissues include nerve and muscle tissue. There are two basic types of potentials in cell membranes: the resting potential and the action potential. The resting potential is generated by the different distribution of ions inside and outside the cell when the cells are not performing any activity. The action potential, on the other hand, is the potential changes that occur on the membrane when cells are active, as some ions move in and out of the cell.

Excitable tissues have the ability to conduct this electrical activity across their membranes, generating the action potential. This electrical activity in nerve cells performs only a conduction function.

In the resting state, the inner part of the cell membrane carries a more negative charge than the outer part. When this cell receives a stimulus, the resting potential changes within a few milliseconds to a positive value. The membrane potential becoming positive is called depolarization. However, this state does not last long; the membrane potential returns to its resting level in a short time. This return process is called repolarization. Therefore, the action potential consists of depolarization and repolarization.

The resting potential of a healthy cell ranges between -40 mV and -90 mV, while diseased cells have a lower resting potential, which impairs their ability to communicate. All local anesthetics hyperpolarize the cell action potential with a power of -290 mV, allowing it to reach the -40 mV to -90 mV range again. In this process, the cell returns to its potential to transmit and the diseased cell turns into a healthy state.

Neural therapy works by stimulating and regulating the vegetative (autonomic) nervous system, which has an extensive electrical network structure in our body. The basis of this therapy is the regulation of three important circulatory systems - blood circulation, lymph circulation and neural transmission - with local anesthetic injections applied to specific points.

Increased blood circulation allows the tissue to be better nourished; increased lymph circulation helps to cleanse the tissue of metabolites, while the regulation of nerve communication allows the tissue to function more efficiently. As a result, the self-healing capacity of tissues under the nourishing, cleansing and regulating effects increases.

The main logic of Neural Therapy is regulation and regulation. Therefore, it targets only the regulation of the existing structure. Anatomical deficiencies or genetic disorders are not indications for neural therapy.

Discovered in 1940 in Germany, neural therapy is a widely practiced treatment method in Europe and offers an effective approach in the field of preventive medicine as well as a permanent treatment. The basic pathology of many diseases, from cancer to simple pain, from viral diseases such as influenza to allergies, are similar. Perfusion, lymphatic drainage and innervation in the affected tissues are usually impaired. By regulating these systems, neural therapy stands out as an effective method both in the fight against diseases and in the protection of health.

Who Can Neural Therapy Be Applied to?

Neural therapy can be applied to patients of all ages, including children and the elderly. Patients with conditions such as blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and the medications they use are not an obstacle to treatment. However, for patients who only use cortisone, the effectiveness of the treatment may be reduced due to the overall suppression of the body. Individuals using Coumadin, a blood thinner, should be careful in some applications, but there is generally no harm for applications on the skin.

Are there any side effects of neural therapy?

Neural therapy, which has been practiced in the West for more than eighty years, has no known side effects. Neural therapy, which is accepted as a natural treatment method, is not a pharmacological treatment. The short-acting local anesthetic substance in the needles used is used by creating a stimulus on the autonomic nervous system. From the moment the needle is applied to the skin, this stimulus spreads through the nerve network and any nerve damage that has already occurred is corrected bio-electrically.

It is important not to confuse neural therapy with needle therapy, which involves injecting drugs into the tissue, whereas in neural therapy the needles are mostly applied to the surface of the skin to create a positive stimulus. Only local anesthetics such as procaine and lidocaine are used in neural therapy. The bio-electrical effect of these substances is utilized rather than their anesthetic effect. Procaine, in particular, is the shortest-acting local anesthetic with a duration of action of 15-20 minutes. Therefore, pregnant women and nursing mothers can also be treated easily.
